Netflix’s new mystery series 1899, which was released recently, attracted great attention. After the publication of the multilingual project 1899 of Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese, the producers of Dark, simulation theory came back into the limelight. Everyone says, “Are we living in a simulation?”, “Is the universe we live in a simulation?” As I began to wonder about the answers to the questions in the form, a crazy idea came from Physicist Melvin Vopson. Vopson is currently raising donations to make this idea a reality.

Enes Çırtlık / Mynet Special Compilation – The 1899 series was released on Netflix on November 17 and managed to become one of the remarkable productions. 1899, which was produced by Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese, the producers of Dark, which attracts attention with its complex and mysterious events, was published in 8 episodes. The series, together with its publication, used the simulation theory both in social media and in normal life, and “Are we living in a simulation?” raised the question again.

WHAT IS SIMULATION THEORY OR SIMULATION ARGUMENT?

1899 tells the story of passengers on a steamship en route from London to New York, who are faced with a mysterious puzzle after they discover a second ship drifting at sea. However, the series takes an important look at the concept of simulation, which many people associate with the Matrix, and even forms its main point from this.

ASKING QUESTION: IS THE UNIVERSE WE LIVE IN A SIMULATION?

So much so that an advanced civilization may have reached a point where simulations have such complex technology that they are indistinguishable from reality, and participants may not be aware that they are in a simulation.

When the calendars showed 2003, philosopher Nick Bostrom of Oxford University in England formulated the simulation hypothesis. This argues that it is quite possible that we are actually living in a simulation.

In the past, reality was questioned as much as it is today. Numerous ideas have been put forward that reality is an illusion. One of them appeared in 1989. Legendary physicist John Archibald Wheeler suggested that the universe was fundamentally mathematical and could be seen as arising from knowledge.

simulation

First of all, what is simulation theory or simulation argument? let’s talk about that. The Simulation argument (simulation hypothesis or simulism), which took its current form in an article published by Nick Bostrom in 2003, argues that reality is a simulation. According to the simulation argument, those inside this simulation pass the time without realizing that they are in a simulation.
The subject has been covered in such theatrical productions as Star Trek, The Dark City, The Thirteenth Floor, The Matrix, Recall, Inception, and Tron. Finally (in our opinion) he took a look at simulation theory in 1899.

After this point, it may contain serious spoilers.
