Confused on Twitter! Elon Musk is silent… #Tech #Technology #technews

Many third-party Twitter apps had started to have problems in the past few days. Doubts were also beginning to arise about Twitter’s intention to disable third-party app developers and ban third-party apps. However, there has been an important development in this regard.

The “restrictions” section of Twitter’s developer agreement has been surprisingly updated. The Agreement was updated with a clause that prohibits “the use or access of licensed materials to create or attempt to create a similar service or product that will replace Twitter apps.” This clause seems to ban third-party clients.

HAS DOUBT TURNED INTO FACT?

On the other hand, while the situation was officially confused due to the issue of third-party applications, no statement was made from Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, about the updated confidentiality agreement.

Developers have also started removing their apps. Sean Heber of Twitterrific confirmed in a blog post that the 16-year-old app has been deprecated.

With these changes, Twitter seems to have banned third-party applications.

Twitter previously said it was “enforcing long-standing API rules,” but didn’t specify what rules the developers were breaking.

According to Engadget’s report, the change confirms what the makers of many popular Twitter clients have been skeptical of lately: “Third-party Twitter services, led by Elon Musk, are no longer allowed.”

NO EXPLANATION FROM ELON MUSK

With these changes, Twitter seems to have banned third-party applications.
